Comments:
The handwritten top right folio number is 81; the lower right foliation is 84. On the following verso the staves continue with text underlay (8 systems) but there is no notation, just marks that may be transfer from the facing recto. Melody fragment from a play for St Agnus that has a rubric stating it uses the melody from a planctus by this troubadour, for whom no other melodies or fragments are extant. (Van der Werf Extant 151*) The text by Poitiers has 4 verses so there are likely two full and one partial musical phrases missing from this melody. This song is one of those not included in Elizabeth Aubrey's corpus of study for Music of the Troubadours because it is a fragment. (Aubrey 1996, 275)
