Comments:
As Van der Werf notes, the notes given for the first line of stanza 2 are actually the notes for Phrase 2 of the melody instead of Phrase 1. (VWE 309*) His transcription has two versions, one as found in the manuscript (with a missing note supplied at the end of Phrase 5), and the second transposed in two ways: up a third from the beginning through Phrase 8, note group 6 and secondly the entire melody was transposed down a fourth to correspond more closely to the version of the melody found in R. (VWE 309*) The last few notes of the melody were omitted then added at the end of the system where the beginning of stanza 2 is notated (the insertion is marked by '''' before and after its notes and the insertion point by an *).
