Comments:
The last five notes of the melody follow a clef change, and are transposed up a fifth by Van der Werf because he considered the lower register to not fit the melody. (VWE 22*) If the clef change was at the same position but a C clef instead of an F, that would result in the notes he gives. I have left the notes as found in the manuscript, although he is correct that it would be atypical for a melody to end almost an octave lower than it began.
