Comments:
The quality of the microfilm available through the holding library deteriorates in quality from the third-seventh staff systems, then improve for the final two at the top of the next column. Van der Werf's edition of the melody gives the version found is Esc with notes on the differences found in Eug. He does not state his source for the melody, but his notes are correct. The glass negative shows the notation including accidentals and ledger lines clearly; the only note with any ambiguity in its placement is Phrase 5, note group 2, in which the second note of the binaria is placed slightly low and touches the B ledger line instead of being completely inside the space; however, the phrase is a repetition of the opening melodic phrase so I have read it the same, as a binaria on DC.
